How To Make A Shocking Pen ⚡️

Materials

Materials Required:

Old pen: With a press-on top.
Lighter: With a piezoelectric igniter.
U-Pin: Paper clip
Sandpaper: To rub the igniter.
Cutter and glue: Fevikwik or any strong adhesive.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Remove the igniter from the lighter:
First, take a lighter and remove the silver plate from the top. Remove the main igniter part from the inside. This is the part that delivers the electric shock.

2. Prepare the Pen:
Now open the pen and remove the refill and spring. We only need the empty pen body.

3. Fit the Igniter:
If the lighter igniter is larger than the hole in the pen, lightly sand it with sandpaper to make it thinner and fit easily inside the pen.

4. Wiring and Connections:
Take a U-pin and straighten it. Now connect the lighter wire to this U-pin securely. Then fix the igniter inside the pen.

5. Finishing Touches:
Drill a small hole in the pen cap and bend the U-pin out of it. Now, secure the cap to the pen body with Fevikwik to prevent it from coming off.

6. Testing:
Peel off the front of the U-pin slightly so that the metal wire is clearly visible. Now, as soon as someone presses the button on the top of the pen, they will receive a mild electric shock.
